Our Work

We believe that the best way for us to do this is by developing or participating in projects that promote our dedication to ensuring the sustainable future of our land, wildlife, people and local businesses.

WTAY is always interested in new projects and welcomes any suggestions from our members, industry partners, and the public. If you have a particular idea that you believe coincides with our mandate, please do not hesitate to contact the office at 867-668-3369 or by emailing info@wtay.com.

STAFF HOUSING

WTAY is currently working with private sector to find solutions for Tourism Industry staff housing issues. Short term and shared accommodations was our top used and required capacity need. This is an area we are focused on with support from private sector rental companies. Please see our results of the Housing Subsidy Pilot project for more information. This project was supported and funded by CanNor.

Land USe PLANNING

Currently Yukon Government is engaging with the public and industry concerning the Lands Act and Land Use Planning. WTAY and TIAY will be coordinating an early Fall engagement session for the industry. Keep an eye out for this invitation. Please fill out the survey and reach out to Lands or WTAY with your thoughts.

Tourism House (TAP)
